My Go To Dinner Roll Recipe
My Go To Dinner Rolls-
2 cups warm milk
1 pack yeast (I like the rapid rise)
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
6 tablespoons room temperature butter
6 cups flour
1 tablespoon butter melted to brush on top
In my stand mixer I pour in milk and yeast. Add sugar, eggs, salt, butter, and roughly mix together. keep the mixer on low with the dough hook and add flour a cup at a time. Once dough is mixed well and not sticking to the sides of the bowl, turn it out onto a floured board. Kneed until you have a nice dough. Place in a bowl and cover. Let it rise until it doubles in size. Once risen punch it down. Make golf ball size balls and place on a buttered pan. Now you can either put them in the frig and bake the next day, or let them rise again for about a half hour and bake them.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes turning the pan around after about 12 minutes to make sure they brown evenly.
Pull out of the oven and brush melted butter on top. Makes 20-25 rolls
Herb Rolls-
Make recipe the same as above but add 1 tablespoon each of oregano, thyme, and rosemary. I used fresh, but Iām sure dried is fine. Also add some of the same herbs to melted butter and brush on once baked.
